Hi I’ve got another year to apply to sems but I’m really nervous coz I try really hard in skl but my report and grades areTERRIBLE! I think i will get good references and my tznius I find is v good but I wanna know if the main thing they look @ r reports and grades?

I certainly hope that they don’t check into your spelling!
They check the following.
1: The ability of your parents to pay
2: Whether or not you fit their mold they want to project
3: How easily they can control your thought process

BYgirl,by “terrible” you mean C’s or D’s? it depends on how academic the sem is… I would suggest meeting with a teacher/principal and hearing what they have to say.
Who said I’m blaming anyone for anything?
And lies? not quite.
These places want students that A: can afford to be there B: will be a positive reflection on the institution C: will not cause any trouble by demonstrating independent thought.
crisisoftheweek, if you want people to accept your criticism, you have to interact with them without criticism at least some of the time. Or I guess you could just keep listening to yourself talk, if you like it that much.

Sheesh. It’s pretty clear which seminary you went to.
A lot depends on the type of seminary you are applying to. Some are very academically oriented, and therefore, will seek out students with top grades who they know can handle the curriculum. Others are more focused on hashkafah and molding their students and would more carefully consider girls with good reputations as well as the academic portion.
Is seminar, ateres nachlas, vey academic oriented?
