I was reading in the Sfas Emes HaGaddah regarding drinking wine during the Seder meal, that he doesn’t like the idea*** because it would interefere with the Mitzvah of Sipur Yetzias Mitzraim, but if one does drink it should be because of the opportunity to say HaTov ViHamaitiv, yet I have never seen anyone make this, I have attended public Sedorim for many years.
He also seems to indicate to be careful that your second cup is completely drained as then you may be mixing not as good wine with your best, not sure about that one.
*** my understanding of the text which is not necessarily correct.

Besides, most people are done with blazing Magid by the time the meal rolls around (I assume he was talking not about the meal) Besides, I have no idea what in blazing it has to do with the Seder at all. But I was thinking that maybe during the PURIM seuda if someone brought you wine you could make the Bracha

Vi Im Yesh Shinui Yayin Bamakom Shemutar lishtos bein Ha Kosos, Yikach miat BaKos ViYivarech Alav HaTov ViHamaiytiv, there’ more but that is the basic gist. He also discusses if there is a Chosson and Kallah there during their 7 day Mishteh whether you bench for a Sheva brachos. So I was interested if anyone does this Hatov ViHamaitiv it would seem an educational moment if nothing else.
