Once a week we get take out so my wife gets a break. On Sundays we usually try to have a family day since the week is so hectic and time is scarse with everyone doing their own thing. When we get back in the evening The family gets dropped off and Dad goes out to get dinner for everyone.

Every Sunday is my cooking day off, so we usually order in from KD,or subs. Once in a rare while we will eat out there as opposed to bringing it home.

Sadly in my city of over 3000 yidden, we have no kosher restaurants. So unless I want to drive over an hour of driving tiem in my day, I dont get to eat out that much. Leave it to our great jewish children to congregate in a town and not have a kosher place to eat. 3000 plus yidden and no place to eat? Well I guess we are all busy people. Thanks guys. We don’t really have a mikveh that the whole town can use either. But who am I to complain huh?

Thursday night is pizza night. And then, depending upon work load, etc., about once a month, tkaeout Chinese food for dinner on Tues. night. Of course, before Pesach, the amount of takeout and eating out increases as the kitchen cleaning accelerates.

I very rarely do take out for Shabbos, only if I’ve had a very tiring week and we have no guests. It’s too expensive and I can make it better (except for stuffed cabbage).

Recently, with the advent of some kosher frozen yogurt places in my area, we’ve started having that for lunch on Sundays while we’re out doing errands.

you can shop in pomegranet and they usually offer some free samples to taste. if you go around the store a few times it can be a snack and no need to eat out.

    kiddingggggggg, maybe

We used to occasionally have Chinese take out for Friday night. We would order a whole bunch of lunch specials, bring them home, and heat them up before Shabbat. That was gevaldig!

    #782562

The once a week trickled down to going out occassionally for such as double birthdays, graduation, just to get the kids together. It does add up and is expensive, so i can see why KD in Boro Park closed and we sure miss them. Pehaps they can reopen in a smaller store and we would once again frequent or order at least once a week.
