It causes sorting by price to be useless.

How does it render price sorting ineffective?
The item gets sorted according to the lowest priced item. So a listing can be for a $150 laser printer and for a $0.45 ink pen, and the whole thing will show up first when sorting low to high, even if there is also a listing for a $100 printer.
Does Amazon do it like this also? Or does Amazon’s price sorting work properly?
