I never heard that claimed about Erdogan. I think that some Islamists claim that about Ataturk.
With regard to claim of the IRGC commander about the Saudis, I see that the Jerusalem Post had an article about it. He seemed to be trying to connect the Saudis to the Jews who fought the early Muslims in Arabia.
