I am looking for Sefarim/Books in English or Hebrew/English mix that deal with choshen mishpat cases or inyanim. There are a ton of basar v’chalav or hilchos Shabbos but I do not know of any choshen mishpat. The aleinu lishabeach series on the parsha has the idea but I am looking basically for a Shayla/tshuva sefer in English with sources and lomdish and involved discussion of the issues such as bar metzra or scheros etc. TYIA

There is a 2nd volume available as well

There are some very detailed Seforim on ribbis, if that interests you.

Sorry, I don’t have author or publisher info in front of me.

A good sefer is called Mishpetei HaTorah by Rav Tzvi Spitz. Its a 3 vol set in Hebrew. However, there is an English version callwd “Cases In Monetary Halachah”. Very good stuff.

Welcome back, Sam4321! It’s been a veeeery long time.

It’s probably lighter than what you’re looking for, but it hasn’t been mentioned yet – <Questions of Interest by Rabbi Yisroel P. Gornish (C.I.S. Publishers, 1993).

    frum not crum

Dr Miller from Baltimore has completed four volumes in English presenting every s’if in simanim 1-226 in Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat plus hilchos bais din and edus. His haskamos include Rav Asher Weiss, Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky, Rav Ephraim Forchheimer, Rav Gedalia Dov Schwartz, Rav Moshe Lowy, Rav Yitzchok Berkovits, Rav Hershel Schachter, Rav Eliyahu Levine, Rav Zev Leff, Rav Dovid Grossman, and Rav Meir Orlian. Also Rabbi Emanuel Quint explained the entire Choshen Mishpat in English siman by siman (10 volumes) in his Restatement of Jewish Civil Law.
