Can anyone tell me what to do with my Esrog that was grown in Eretz Yisroel?
It’s very simple. Since one is not permitted to destroy edible fruit of shvi’is,
you put it aside until it becomes inedible (it shrivels up and becomes hard like a rock) and then discard it as you normally would.
I was told by a Rav to “let it dry out, just make sure it happens before zman beur”. Now, you have heard two answers. Go ask your Rav 🙂
Next time, get them from chutz la’aretz.
Buy an esrog from Arab countries because you need to wait a few weeks before you discard an esrog from Eretz Yisroel??????????????
That’s insane!
Last time I saw a Mexican wearing a Kafiyah was…hmmmm…never. Chutz LaAretz encompasses a lot more than the neighboring arab countries.
mexicans wearing kefiyahs….funny thought….
And this is only a problem once in 7 years. Buy next year from Eretz Yisrael… hopefully we never have a shailah again (moshiach should come before hand)
jphone….cute, but many will come from Morocco. There’s still no reason not to buy from E”Y (even from a non Arab country)just because you need to wait to discard it.
