Why are grocery store workers “essential” when it comes to lockdowns but not when it comes to vaccinations?

If the “Jewish friends” are the hot spots, doesn’t it make sense to immunize them first?!?

Froggie have you heard of bill a416? Suspected individuals or “groups” can be arrested and taken into “medical detention camps”.

groceries are essential, not the owners. much better if the owners don’t come & make everything free instead.

    Who says they aren’t?

When all of this is “over” and we are back to some degree of “normal” (whatever those terms mean), this country needs to step back and rethink what is essential. One of the biggest mistakes, among many, was putting school teachers towards the bottom of the list of “essential” workers. Before this is over, an entire generation of kids, especially those with limited resources, will have lost 1.5 years of their education which will be hard to make up quickly. Having kids at home has also made it virtually impossible for many parents to return to work, once their workplaces had been deemed “safe”.

Who said I was talking about the owner, I’m talking about the people who stock the shelves or cashiers or the managers who are in contact with countless people every day

    DY,

Ask New York that question in regards to the vaccine, teachers can get it but grocery store employees can’t (yet)

    GH,

That’s true but for sure grocery store employees are just as “essential”

I have an answer and it has to do with why schools closed so quickly

Coffee- with ya on this one!
I lost a lot of respect for the public school teachers when they decided to put politics over the children.

As someone frequently accused of being a communistical socialist, or, worse, a socialistical communist communism lover, let we set some of you straight about the role of the owner of a grocery store in a free-market, and free, society. Stores have groceries because the owner contributed capital to the store to buy the groceries on the shelves, and pays the workers who put the groceries on the shelves. No owners, no groceries.

A similar example from the past: Stalin tried to eliminate farm ownership. He succeeded for a while, but then the peasants stopped growing the crops, and huge, ghastly famines resulted.

They can. From the NYC vaccine finder site:

“Who can get vaccinated right now?
Currently, the vaccine is being provided to people 65 and older, teachers and education workers, first responders, public safety workers, public transit workers, grocery store workers, healthcare providers and staff with direct patient contact, emergency responders, staff at COVID-19 testing and vaccination locations, home health aides, and long-term care staff and residents among others. Click here for more details on the groups currently eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.”

huju>> Stalin tried to eliminate farm ownership

We tried it already. Yoma 69 – Talmidei Hahamim banned Yetzer Hara, people stopped going to work and getting married. Hens did not produce eggs.

It seems that Warp speed shifting to the correct idea that priority should be simply based on age.
