is every yid a big tzaddik or is this all one big farce. there of plenty of yidden who we could all name that i wouldn’t consider to be big tzaddikim in any way, shape or form.

When we are united, every yid is considered a big tzadik, so when we daven, we should accept the mitzva of loving each other and our tefilos will be accepted together. See Magen Avraham in the beginning of Shulchan Aruch in the name of the Ari z’l.

Every yid is a big tzaddik! The important nekuda is that some are more of a tzaddik than others, every yid has a bit of a taddik in them its just about bringing the tzaddik out. The people (criminals) who you are referring to are avada on the outside absolute reshoim gemurim, but if you take a little look deeper, you’ll find that there is actually a tiny bit of a tzadik down there. Every yid is a tzaddik.

Look at the Rabbenu Bachaya in Parashas Ki Siso on not counting each other directly as it separates the good and bad. Hashem on Rosh Hashana sees us with one stare. Bolok told Bilom to find a place where he can only see some of the Jews but not all because if he sees all, nothing bad can effect them.

It says פושעי ישראל מלאים מצות כרמון, the worst of Jews are filled with mitzvos like a pomegranate, so let us look at what they and not what they don’t do.

If all yidden are “big tzadikim” why do we even focus on the lamud vuv tzadikim?? Are they “bigger” than the rest of us??

There is a difference between relative and absolute. Everyone is a big tzadik relative to someone under
them but the lamud vav tzadikim are big without comparison.

Since its all relative, I was considering changing my screen name to MegaTzadik but out of consideration for those who might be visually impaired and read it as MagaTzadik, I’ll keep the status quo.

Even though the last one cannot be compared but most are good so it is considered like all being nullified, batel to the rest.

There are reports from Poland that when Nazis were burning shuls, some Communists will run in and were killed trying to take the Sifrei Torah out.

Reb Eliezer: “It says פושעי ישראל מלאים מצות כרמון”

According to you, why are they called פושעי ישראל, if they are big tzadikim as you claim?

learn tanya and youl know the answer. its litteraly called sefer shel bainoinim. (at least learn perek alef)

In absolute they are poshei yisrael but relative they might be tzadikim and beinanim are relative to their level of neshama. The Sefer Habris explains that there are 25 levels of neshama. נפש, רוח, נשמה, יחידה, חיה so we can have נפש שבנפש and רוח שבנפש and so on.

Hashem doesn’t expect all of us to be tzaddikim on the high level of Moshe Rabbeinu or Harav Moshe Feinstein etc….

Each person is only expected and responsible to remain on his level of righteousness that Hashem has made possible for him to be and to help him complete his mission in this temporary physical world so it can bring him or her up to the true world above.

The posuk of ועמך כלם צדיקים was said as a nevuah for the future, not for the present. It’s sad that people are so ignorant of Tanach.

Lemayseh: You apparently fail to realize that the majority of the CR posters are true neviim and have shown themselves to be forward looking thinkers who are legends in their own minds and eventually right on most issues, albeit occasionally for the wrong reasons.

I think the statement every yid is a big tzaadik is very far from reality and for the oilam thats bringing all these sources that every yid COULD be a tzaadik is no shaychis, children are listening to this song and they actually think lev tahor, reform and others are big tzaadikim which is a big issue
