Rav Avigdor Miller zt’l, on his many tapes, derides therapists as only being good to unload your wallet.
I have been to the three best in my area. I can seriously tell you that not one helped me at all. Two of them messed me up and told me things that made no sense. They should be banned from society. The third did nothing good but nothing bad. I guess that is a bracha too….
This taught me that change has to come from within. You need a good friend and lots of courage and you’re good to go.
