When in history were eyeglasses invented? And what did people with vision problems do before then? (Considering most people today us prescription eyeglasses, there is no reason to think it was less necessary prior to the introduction of vision aids.)
When in history were eyeglasses invented?
According to Wikipedia, about 1286.
And what did people with vision problems do before then?
Probably the same thing that people with other conditions did before there was effective treatment… let it go untreated.

I think they used monocles for a while; a single piece of glass similar to one side of eyeglasses. Before that, I have no idea.

weird guess but maybe they really didn’t have eye problems , maybe its like from all the technology like tv’s, computers [ actually i’m thinking right now that many frum ppl have glasses but dont have that stuff] sooo it was worth a try..
