Let’s hear all your beef against the republicans, the full report, not a few snippets here and there. Please leave it to facts only, not gripes about everyone on this forum have been brainwashed by republicans and worship them.
Additionally, please leave the discussion to Democrats vs. Republicans as a party; do not zoom in on MAGA or DJT, whom many (most?) Republicans on this forum have sufficiently denounced, and not on Biden and/or Fetterman, Democrats who have certainly done good for Israel.
Lastly, make sure to differentiate between ill intentions and ill policies.
As you’ve mentioned, your life’s mission is to educate us how Democrats are the party that’s good for Israel. Everyone (at least I) are interested in learning FACTS. Let’s hear the pure, unabridged truth.
Thank you.

Fnadango – if you want to be informed you should start paying attention to the news. I’m not saying this is something for us to be informed about but if you want to be informed you should learn more about it.
Iran has been working on nuclear weapons for decades. Everyone said “isn’t it terrible,” and no one did anything about it. AND NO American president would let Israel do anything about it. Not GWB, Certainly not Obama who hates Israel, and certainly not Biden who was clearly incompetent his four years with the government run by Obama officials. In fact Obama and Biden advocated FOR a nuclear bomb for Iran. They took away sanctions, agreed not to allow inspections of their military nuclear facilities, and gave them billions of dollars to facilitate building a nuclear weapon as well as to facilitate terrorism.
These are all things you would know if you followed the news. I’m NOT saying you should follow the news but if you are going to comment you should.
It was Trump that freed Netanyahu’s hands to kill the killers. It was Trump that moved our embassy to Jerusalem. It was Trump that authorized weapons to Israel, when Obama and Biden each refused to send weapons to Israel when it was in a hot war (before and after Trump). And finally it was Trump who authorized Netanyahu to destroy Iran’s air defenses, air force, and nuclear proliferation sites, with Trump actually bombing and wrecking Fordow.
If you want Iran to have a nuclear weapon you vote for Democrats. If you want Iran NOT to have a nuclear weapon you vote Republican. And daven.

July 1, 2025 7:05 pm at 7:05 pm #2420429Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantkeith & others. I doubt it is possible to convince each other by using logical analysis of previous events. There are already articles saying that Trump had to bomb because it was his fault of withdrawing from the agreement that supposedly kept Iran “a year” away from a bomb rather than just “three months”. There are so many events and possible explanations that any normal (that is biased) person can find explanation he favors unless he is trained in unbiased thinking, such as Socratic method or Gemorah. I actually once made a small experiment testing cognitive bias in one of the examples from Kahneman/Twersky. My conclusion (on a very small set) was that those who had PhDs and who learnt Gemorah had smaller bias. I did not know those who do both at the time :).
So, a possible way to unbiased conclusions – to see how decision-makers themselves think. I brought an idea that Bibi favored Trump. Here is a proof from WaPo article about a zoom between Pres Biden and congress progs in July 2024 showing that Biden also thought that Bibi is against him: xxx asked the president about the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza, pointing out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not seem to be listening to him. The president took umbrage at the criticism. He said Netanyahu hoped Trump would be reelected and was an impediment to any ceasefire deal.

July 7, 2025 12:00 pm at 12:00 pm #2422101Baruch DParticipantJust as important as message is how the message is delivered. I would rather deal with someone who has integrity and is willing to look at themselves in a humble way and admit faults in their arguments in a respectful manner than someone I consistently agree with. Anyone today who thinks that they are always right is an idiot. But Hashem gave us all individual eyes to see and use and we should not negate our clarity. Our clarity may at times respect others who are greater experts. But there is a time and place to speak your mind as you see fit even if everyone is against you.
