So, this whole tragic saga with the three bochurim got me thinking. (yeah, I know, surprising) those three bochurim, on that fateful morning as they were getting ready for a long day , did not know that they were about to be tragically snuffed out. they had long life’s ahead of them, and were filled with the exuberance and enjoyment of life as they prepared for that fateful trip.
If we would been able to inform them about what was about to transpire, what would their reaction have been, what would they have done differently had they known 2 months ago that they were going to be niftar soon? what would we have done? Therefore after much deliberation, I have decided to stop posting here on (in?) the coffee room. I made a cheshbon hanefesh and decided that in the grand scheme of things, I have no clue how much time I have left, and would probably be better served using my time more constructively.
So I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone here, friends, family, those who I agree with , and those who I don’t agree with. It was a lot of fun over the past few months, and I appreciate all those who brightened my day with a witty comment, got my mind working to solve a riddle, or just said something nice to make me or someone else feel good. I’d also like to ask mechila if I ever hurt anyone’s feelings, I certainly did not mean it when I did, and I hope you would forgive me.
In closing, if my time here made at least one person feel good about themselves, or one person smile, I feel it was worth it, but all good things must come to an end.
“Farewell, Farewell
my friends.
I smile and bid you goodbye.
No, shed no tears,
for I need them not
All I need is your smile.
If you feel sad
think of me
for that’s what I’d like.
When you live in the hearts
of those you love,
remember then….
you never die”

Will you still lurk? Will you come back to visit one in a while? Or is this a clean break with no plan to step(?) in here again?
Hatzlacha!

Your farewell post gave me what to think about.
Good luck staying away, it probably won’t work 🙂 Talking from experience here…

I’m not here much anyway
July 6, 2014 10:20 am at 10:20 am #1022633sm29ParticipantI’ll miss you. It’s true that when we look back, we want to have spent time wisely. I watched a video where these friends were hooked on the phones instead of focusing on each other. It’s something this generation needs to work on ..
