This does not require a coffee room thread.

    The answer is obvious.

    It’s what’s called in Israel – ???? ??? or in America – caramel.

Sorry, but there’s nothing further to say on the subject!

    !!!?? ???

I once entered a Dunkin’ Donuts contest to pick a winning flavor. My ideal donut would be rum-flavored coconut custard with pineapple filling alongside (but not mixed into) the custard, and vanilla icing covered with shredded coconut. In other words, a pina colada donut. Barring that – vanilla custard with chocolate icing (Boston Creme)

I hear in Israel they now have bamba donuts. Imagine that! It’s filled with peanut butter and topped with several babmas.

I’d go with caramel as number 1, and boston cream as 2.

The local bakery makes Caramel donuts from around ROsh Chodesh Kislev until 2 Teves. They sell like hotcakes! But the day after Chanuka, they disappear for 11 months. Never understood why!

midwesterner- I never understood that, it’s by far the best donut they sell so why wouldn’t they sell it all year? Maybe they don’t want us to get sick of it. Let get together and occupy them!

Number 1 is mustard. A close second is custard. The pickel flavor is good too.

    Available at Man and Mixas.

Donuts sell like hotcakes. Now there’s a thought!

I go for all flavor donuts eg caramel, jelly, fresh cream etc but then I enjoy interesting fillings also so I like my wife to make eg pistachio, mint, lime pineapple and any other crazy ideas that I concoct. The kids also like strawberry, cherry etc.

    ?? ??? ????…

Chocolate lavender custard with chocolate frosting would probably be delicious, but I don’t know anyone who makes it.

    Anyone bake their own donuts?

    #1204681

The Denver donuts are laced with pot. That’s why they’re so good.

What are hotcakes? And why do they sell so well?

And aren’t caramel sufganiyot better – shouldn’t the expression be “The hotcakes were so good; they sold like caramel sufganiyot”?

Yea LU. The saying is clearly outdated.

It’s about time someone corrected it
