so, when do the sems send the letters out???? i am SO anxious, I just want them to come already!

    Seminary is stupid.

Although, there aren’t very many cheaper ways to spend the year in Israel, so maybe it’s worth it as a year-long vacation.

Have you considered just backpacking it instead? Stay in hostels and at your aunt’s house?

Popa, you didn’t enjoy and grow from your year in BJJ?

As a parent, I think Seminary is a waste, despite the fact that all my daughters went (peer pressure, of course). Seminary is designed for young women who want to go into chinuch; everyone else would be better to spare their parents the expense (total around $25,000), and if they are so eager to learn, to attend seminary locally. Yes, it’s nice to experience living in Israel, but why not get a job and work there? Jobs don’t pay well, but it’s better than just draining parents finances. Of course, the Israeli economy benefits from all these girls

I live in Israel and I have to say its worth it to come.

There should be an option or school or plan that involved israel and growing but not draining money…

I got all my acceptance letters towards the end of January/first week of Feb… they all wanted an answer by now but… I don’t think I’m going anymore.

FFB: You need to live your own life, not your parents’ life.

And to all the haters: yes, I would also say this to a girl from a yeshivish family who didn’t want to go to seminary but her parents wanted her to.

smile – so did u get ur letters yet????

PBA- and who will pay for it?

    She’s a dependent kid…

There are scholarships but it’s far from a sure thing.
