    Fafoilte fish.

Really, people, I think there’s so much variance in the food

that you can hardly say categorically that you don’t like it.

(I prefer the soft, sweet variety which I think is more

typical of homemade [or possibly chassidish] gefilte fish

over the more bland or even sharp commercial products.)

    1. Kosher l’pesach gefilte fish have more actual fish in it so they usually taste better.

    2. Salmon (fillet)

3.a slice of cantaloupe/a fruit cup

    4. Tiny meatballs over rice

    5. Chopped liver/egg salad

    6. Anything that looks like an appetizing appetizer

    Comlink-X,

[The Goq and Syag Lchochma, please take notice 🙂 ]

In defense of zahavasdad, there’s more to food than taste. If someone does not like the idea of ground or minced fish, he is not going to like gefilte fish, no matter how it is prepared. And that is ok.

And though I like all three, for me, I have to say that sushi > tuna salad >= gefilte fish.

Nori has a strong smell that some people don’t detect. And some people like it and others hate it.

Great alternative is a deconstructed sushi salad. It has components of sushi but none of the hassles of rolling and/or other preparations.

Basically, make some rice (no need for fancy rice – regular white will do).

Put on bottom of plate. Top with: diced cucumbers, avocados, and the fake crab. Top it all off with crushed french’s fried onions.

For the sauces: sprinkle some soy sauce. Then top with sweet sauce (aka Unagi or eel sauce) and spicy mayo.

Its seems like a lot of work but its really not. And it is really good.

Note: You can get the sweet sauce at kosher supermarkets in the sushi section or there are commercial brands too like Kikkoman.

    zahavasdad,

If I told you that I slap the pickled ginger right on top of the sushi rolls like lox on a bagel – apparently a faux pas in the sushi eating world, but I’m not about to stop doing it – would you still drink wine that I touched?

I eat sushi with a fork, I can never figure out how to use chopsticks.

I will only drink the wine you touched if Its good stuff, I dont drink malaga or creme concord grape. generally all wine from new York is garbage and undrinkable

    zahavasdad,

I eat it with my bare hands.

I’m not a wine connoisseur, but in general the less like cough syrup it tastes, the more I like it.

generally I like Drier wine and usually like White wine better than red.

I cant usually afford to drink the good stuff , so i rarely drink it

The weirdest thing I’ve seen is Falsha Fish, which is made from chicken, but taste just like Gefilte Fish. Why bother?

Because sometimes the minhag is to not eat (real) fish.

Falshe fish is better than the real thing.

Sometimes I refer to gefilte fish as falshe chicken.

Some people have fish allergies. Also chicken is cheaper than fish.

I am not a fussy eater, but I still don’t understand the fuss people make about sushi.

It’s kinda interesting how sushi works. No one likes it the first time they taste it. But don’t give up guys, it definitely tastes better and better as you get used to the different kinda taste that it has… And then it’s like really really good. Totally worth it.

Nah, that’s only what people talk into themselves because they want to fit in and pretend to eventually start liking sushi because everyone else pretends to like that raw fish.

I actually eat the ones without the raw fish.

If someone does not like the idea of ground or minced fish

Insert CR-typical joke about not liking the idea of a

particular food, but liking the food in practice.
