How did you guys make the ash for seudas hamafsekes? The way we have been doing it isn’t that smart and we get scattered pieces of ash all over the countertops.

We burn our toast a little, and use those ashes.
Use a match and light a piece of paper in the sink. Let it burn out
but then when you try taking it out it blows all over the place.
Why waste a perfectly good goat when you can burn a piece of paper?
Burn a piece of bread and scrape the ashes off. Why on earth would you want to burn paper???? It tastes more palatable with the toasted bread.

I use a piece of bread. Ruining perfectly good bread is baal tashchit. I burn a piece of paper in a clean coffee can in the sink.

Put a tissue on some silver foil. Burn the tissue until it goes out. The end.
why do you have to smoke to get ashes?
