I’m so sorry! I just want you to know that there are other people in your situation- you’re not alone at all. I can totally relate, & honestly, most people have no idea that I really have no friends! Sometimes it’s much better to be in your own company than false company.
I am truly sorry to hear this. I know what it’s like to be friendless, but I also had to do inner self evaluation to see what I was doing to be in that situation. I don’t know you or your situation, but I suspect two things: It’s not your hearing issues that is a problem, and perhaps you have also rebuffed friendly overtures from people. Do you tend to be needy and clingy to someone who wants to be friends? From my experience, I know that is a turnoff. It happened to me in my youth and I learned to give people their space even if it meant I was alone or lonely. So take a piece of paper and write down what you see as your weaknesses in forming friendships and what you offer, and then build on those strengths.

I notice that this thread began 6 months ago and FFBT613 picked up on it just a few hours ago even though the original poster doesn’t appear to be around, or at least he hasn’t posted in response to anything. I think people should be more careful about restarting old threads.

And CI Boy: you always have friends here on the CR. Anyone who believes in Hashem is a friend of ours here. We don’t see anyone, so we don’t get to discriminate based on chitzonios.

And no I have a decent home but nothing that fancy

I like to think that we are all friends here, just that most of us have not met each other IRL. Sometimes it is easier to be friends with people whom we do not see, especially when we are shy. I would hope that people feel comfortable in the CR to express themselves (respectfully, of course) on most any subject, and about their feelings.
