Does anyone have first-hand experience with Gateshead Yeshiva Gedolah? I’m looking into it and would really appreciate info about the learning style, seder and shiur times and vibes around yeshiva

April 23, 2025 12:07 pm at 12:07 pm #2391099daastorahnotdaasbaalhabatimParticipantnot sure the musag of a heimishe englisher exits in gateshead yeshiva so maybe find another place.
the vibes rock though!April 23, 2025 12:07 pm at 12:07 pm #2391100daastorahnotdaasbaalhabatimParticipantnot sure the musag of a heimishe englisher exits in gateshead yeshiva so maybe find another place.

April 24, 2025 1:13 am at 1:13 am #2391472Aseh maat ve emor harbehParticipantI know absolutely nothing about it, but since this is the YWN coffee room, I would be happy to share my baseless, uninformed opinion with you.
April 24, 2025 1:13 am at 1:13 am #2391496pekakParticipantIf you’re looking for “vibes” look elsewhere. It’s a serious Yeshiva.
I don’t know why a “heimishe Englisher” couldn’t fit into the yeshiva. Plenty of chassidishe bochurim have learned there.

Seder and shiur times depend on what shiur you’re in, Shiur Gimel have 2h morning, 3h afternoon and 1.5h night sedorim with iyun shiur in the morning and bekius shiur in the afternoon, other shiurim have 2h morning, 4h afternoon and 1.5h night sedorim with iyun shiur in the morning. From what i’ve heard the vibes rock with lots of chilling and music around the yeshiva during the week and a lot of achdus between the bochrim at the shabbos sedorim

I’m trying to gather some information about Yeshivas Nezer HaTorah in Gateshead. Does anyone here have any firsthand experience or insights into the following:
What is the educational approach at the yeshiva?
How’s the general atmosphere and community life there?
Any info on the application process for new students?
How does it compare to other yeshivas in the UK?
I’d really appreciate any thoughts or advice you can share. Thanks in advance!
