    Jax, welcome!

yes, it seems there was more talking by the older CR folk, rather than the “general shmoozing.” (check out the thread title. 😉 )

jax: nope we still have regular classes—not everyone takes the ap course—i just take off and miss class 🙂

kapusta: the course is 3 credits. (per ap–so if im taking 2 this yr that means 6 credits)

but it also depends on which college ill end up in. most only take a score of 4 or 5. (5 is the highest)

BYM, you took AP before this year? didnt know you could do that. (most of my friends are taking AP, all going crazy now. I hang out with a studious crowd, funny, no?)

Bais Yaakov maydel: in Yeshiva we don’t really take AP’s! are they really hard that only some take them?

    #678709

depends–for example, you cant take APs in 9th grade, theyre too hard, and in 10th you can only take one. they also range from easier to really hard subjects, so it depends what you do best in.

and theyre government exams, so yeah theyre pretty hard.

hard enough for me to take off too many days of school 🙂

    kapusta, this late??

Jax, its a lot of work and you pay to take it, but it saves both time and money in college.

Jax, my mother went before to bring something to my neighbor and right when she got under the awning it started pouring! She was stuck there for a few minutes, it was very funny. (from this end)

AOB, not in my school either, which leads me to question the obvious…

hi mepal, good to see you! btw, what does your name mean? (random, I know)

    *kapusta*

About the name, its something like M.E.P.A.L. Each letter stands for something. Only after I signed up did I realize how ludicrous it looks but it was too late to change it. Most people probably read it as ME PAL. Like I’m a friend of myself, just a bit backward.

Jax, the test itself wasnt too bad. Now it hurts when I move it. I’m walking around with my left arm just hanging as if I was holding a bag around my wrist. I was very nervous before because everyone was coming out in tears. After I finished, my hands were shaking.

My friend had it and they weren’t getting enough blood, when they realized they would have to prick a second arm, the person said, “uch, this isn’t my day.” 😉

anonymiss, someone told me I looked pale while I was doing it, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t even from the test though. Me? faint? nah. Some people looked like they would though.

Jax, thanx… I’ll probably stick around here, typing is one of the only safe things I can do with my hand in this position. 😉

kapusta, yeah, unfortunately, that’s totally normal. It may take a day or two to feel back to normal. It’s uncomfortable but it won’t last forever.
