I have something interesting to report. I attended my first ever, upsherin on Sunday. I was very honored to have been invited and found it very interesting. Fortunately the young boy co-operated and kept smiling even though there was a long line of strangers (with scissors in their hands) just waiting to take a “snip” and pay the pushke. Thanks for letting me share.

where’s squeak?
bpt- As I was passing by the Gehry Building (8 Spruce St.) this morning I also noticed the scaffolding around the Park Row Building including the two cupolas. I was wondering if they are making the cupolas up to current fire code standards so that we can move in (I’ll let you have the one close to the Brooklyn Bridge).

BPT and Dr. Pepper – oh the nostalgia!! When I first found the CR this was the exact conversation going on and I remember feeling so left out and wishing I could be part of the ‘fun’
uh oh. here we go again.
The last time the wagons were mentioned, Dr. Pepper vanished for 6 months and when he returned, squeak thought the Russians had launched a nuclear attack.

don’t feel left out – nobody knows what the wagons are besides for squeak and the good Dr. It would logically follow then that they should feel left out, not us, being that they are a tiny minority.
I really miss Dr. Pepper, Sac, Blinky, Squeak, and Oomis. I keep wondering, what makes someone popular and missed; is it because their posts are interesting? Or because they disappear and make you wait and wait…and then reappear suddenly?!
