How do you know when it is getting serious?
Does the shadchan say anything?

When you start hearing “Mazal Tov!”
Assuming one is still dating.
How do you know when it is getting serious?

I know this is going to sound mean, Metziut, but I *really* don’t intend it to be, so please keep that in mind when you read the next line.
If you cannot tell (without the shadchan’s help) that a relationship is getting serious, then perhaps you are not ready for marriage. Only *you* can decide when a relationship is “getting serious.” No one else could (or should) be making that decision for you.
The Wolf
This is different for those in different circles, but I felt it was getting serious when we dropped the shadchan.
I felt it was getting serious after the fourth date- when i pretty much knew that barring any major discoveries he was the one. how i knew he was the one i cannot completely say- i just knew that he was right.
When the shadchan asks you your full name so she can write the wedding invitations.
I knew it was serious when I found myself under a huppah, smashing a glass with my right foot.
