I have always found that men are nearly impossible to shop for. Can you all please give some ideas? Guys themselves can post on things they would like to receive as a gift, and girls who have found “successful” gifts should post those ideas as well. Thanks in advance!

I’m sure Blinky will get it

(and I’m about to get a potch from my fellow BPer who does’nt share my sense of humor when it comes to blocking driveways)

BP, nice idea, but who cleans up after the pony? That would be a gift with strings attached.

“eclipse’s” ideas (above) are all excellent, depending, of course, on the person.

I’m not sure how you came up with the $5,000 amount for the seforim store though! Depending on one’s financial means, even 50 or 100 dollars would be nice.

Remember this: Men are basically just older boys. We like our toys. So, other than seforim, most (not all, but most) guys like our adult toys, which, as eclipse mentioned, include things like electronic gadgets, tools, etc.

Who cleans up after the pony? Maybe a “hooov”er vaccum?

Ok BPT- that was a bad joke!

A few men gift ideas…….. For the guy who never asks direction – a GPS is a great gift. And for the guy who talks on his cell when driving – installing a “parrot” bluetooth is a good idea. Also, a starter that you can start your car from indoors when it’s freezing outside is a super gift.

A GPS is popular ’cause every guy in the world would choose a soft,calm,endlessly-patient woman’s voice gently telling him”re-routing” for the 14th time,to his wife screeching”Will you stop being such a (?) and ASK DIRECTIONS ALREADY???”

Don’t look at me,I never did that. Some of my friends, however,….

    “a soft,calm,endlessly-patient woman’s voice “

That, and the Brittish accent, which makes even the most mundane things sound so intellegent!

the difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys. depends who the man is…but cufflinks as someone suggested are nice if the guy wears them. Paul Fredricks has nice monogram shirts.

pba, the difference between girls and women is the cost of their “Jewels”!

    #1000459

    pba nd aries,

use a more generic term like cost of their maintenance. That includes clothes, jewels, shoes, boots, shoes, handbags and shoes.

    #1000460

charlie brown: just hope you don’t end up with a “high maintenance” product once you grow up! 😉
