What’s your favorite dishes on their menu and what would you say is a “must try? “
April 9, 2013 2:58 pm at 2:58 pm #943595acersParticipantI prefer Kosher Delight much better.
April 9, 2013 4:01 pm at 4:01 pm #943596a maminParticipantacers : You cant compare the menus or service. If you are looking for Kosher delight style ( unhealthy fast food) then of course that’s where you go.
WIY: Their steaks are the best, depending on your budget, the house cut is reasonable and delicious.Sweet potato fries are a great side dish. Enjoy!
April 9, 2013 4:05 pm at 4:05 pm #943597mullyMemberAwesome hangar steak!
April 9, 2013 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #943598acersParticipantamamin: KD is just as “healthy” (and the food just as tasty) as GAC.
April 9, 2013 4:19 pm at 4:19 pm #943599a maminParticipantAcers: Not quite! I don’t consider the menu of hamburgers, franks and french fries that healthy.
April 9, 2013 4:19 pm at 4:19 pm #943600apushatayidParticipant“(unhealthy fast food)”
Are you implying the other place is serving healthy food? 🙂
April 9, 2013 5:00 pm at 5:00 pm #943601acersParticipantamamin: Overall, GAC’s menu is just as unhealthy.
April 9, 2013 5:44 pm at 5:44 pm #943602a maminParticipantGlat ala Carte is not a fast food resteraunt.
April 9, 2013 5:46 pm at 5:46 pm #943603acersParticipantFast food or slow food, it has the same health status.
April 9, 2013 7:21 pm at 7:21 pm #943604a maminParticipantAre you comparing grilled steak to processed meats?
April 9, 2013 7:28 pm at 7:28 pm #943605acersParticipantI’m saying the general health status on the overall menu of both eateries are comparable.
April 9, 2013 9:14 pm at 9:14 pm #943606a maminParticipantNo way!
April 9, 2013 9:45 pm at 9:45 pm #943607acersParticipantYou’re saying that an order of pasta with bread and a tenderloin sandwich with french fries and two scoops of ice cream and chocolate parfait for dessert from Glatt Ala Carte is healthier than an order of Sauteed Vegetables, Chicken Nuggets, Tuna on Tossed Salad and chicken soup from Kosher Delight?

April 10, 2013 12:52 am at 12:52 am #943609Git MeshigeParticipantIf I may add my 2 cents here, it all boils down to $$$ and calories. At the end of the day, a full meal at GAC will cost more in $$$ and in calories. Afterall, noone just settles for some grilled chicken. There are appetizers, mostly fried and unhealthy, main dish, mostly fatty and unhealthy and dessert. So end of day one is better off at KD
April 10, 2013 4:24 am at 4:24 am #943610a maminParticipantyou get what you pay for.
April 10, 2013 5:17 am at 5:17 am #943611MammeleParticipantThis argument is ridiculous. Personally, I think the best way to rate a restaurant is the way your stomach feels the day after. Very few make the cut.
Generally speaking expensive restaurants have very heavy food, which combined with more courses are not stomach friendly. Fast food places may have unhealthier food but the quicker pace and lack of variety generally total less junk. However, if one is very disciplined a good restaurant does offer the possibility of a healthy meal, while with fast food places it’s usually harder.
