i want to start playing guitar, so i’ve been looking at various options. the yamaha fg700s seems like a good one. any opinions or better ideas? all advice welcome!!! :)thanks
It looks like a great guitar From the specs and reviews However I never tried it
For other good beginner guitars go with epiphone yamaha or ibanez
as for advice
stay away from all chinese and unknown companies. (they are usually sold on ebay and similar sites. as a general rule if big stores such as Sweetwater and Musicans freind dont sell it, its unknown)
I personally like buying used from musiciansfreind.com and similar sites because they are cheaper and usually excellent condition (just a personel Preference)
thank you so much!
No prob
I’ve been teaching kids guitar for 25 years. Adult or child, you can’t go wrong with the Costco package for about $100, includes everything. Then, in the future, if you want to, you can upgrade. Some of my students are still using their Costco guitars years later and they sound great. Good luck
For a first guitar you don’t need something fancy… I went with a Kona and I’m happy
