For anyone who’s unfortunaly getting stuck in the extreme health mindset
_this_ is what real health is
    Remember all foods have nutrients

đź“– Gut Truth: How Real Food Heals and Restrictive Diets Harm

A short, heartfelt guide to remembering what we’ve forgotten about food and health.

    Every Real Food Has nutrients

There’s a lot of noise out there telling us what not to eat.
    “No carbs.”
    “Meat is toxic.”
    “Dairy causes inflammation.”
    “Sugar is the devil.”

But here’s the quiet truth: every food has nutrients
    Yes even sugar
    Yes even coffee
Yes even the fat in your meat

A boiled potato offers potassium and vitamin C.
A piece of cheese carries calcium and fat-soluble vitamins.
A slice of sourdough, lovingly made, holds B vitamins and nourishment for your gut bacteria.
Eggs? Nature’s multivitamin — rich in choline, protein, and healthy fats.

We weren’t designed to fear food. We were designed to _enjoy_ it — with trust, gratitude, and balance. Real, traditional foods are not the enemy. They’re the medicine.

Your Gut Needs Variety, Not Perfection

Inside your body lives an entire world — trillions of microbes that help digest your food, regulate your mood, and keep your immune system strong.

And just like any garden, that world thrives on diversity.

So when we cut out entire food groups — when we go “zero-carb,” or “grain-free,” “low fat” or live only on meat or smoothies — parts of that inner garden wither.

Good bacteria starve. Digestion gets sluggish. The body starts to send distress signals.

You may lose weight, sure. But what’s the cost?

A healthy gut isn’t built on rules. It’s built on relationship — with your food, your culture, your cravings, and your body’s quiet wisdom.

    Homemade Food is Deep Medicine

There was a time — not long ago — when food came from the stove, not a package. When butter was used freely, bones were saved for broth, and pickles bubbled on countertops.
People baked cakes without shame and ate homemade fatty foods without remorse
Ye they were all skinny healthy and strong
And we still have that today in the Jewish community.

People didn’t call it “gut health.”
They just cooked meals that made sense — slow, rich, and full of life.

    Soups with marrow bones.
    Garden vegetables sautéed in fat
Fresh bread, fermented and risen by time.
Roasts, stews, casseroles, and eggs. And much much more
They didn’t feel bad about having a nice morning coffee
Or making themselves a rich breakfast

These meals weren’t perfect. But they were rich, alive, and made with care. And that kind of food doesn’t just fill your stomach — it rebuilds you.
Bit by bit. Bite by bite.
Those people were strong they were confident they were less extreme and they had less anxiety

Real Healing Doesn’t Come from Fear

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by food rules, you’re not alone.
We’ve been sold the idea that being healthy means following a plan, cutting things out, and punishing our bodies into submission.

But the truth is much easier than that.
Healing doesn’t come from fear. It comes from trust.

Trust in the wisdom of real food.
Trust in your body’s ability to heal when it’s taken care of properly
Trust that you don’t need to be perfect — just present.

Instead of chasing the next diet trend, maybe what we really need is to remember: how our grandparents cooked, how our ancestors ate, how our bodies feel when we eat with joy, not guilt.

Lets enjoy food again. Yes even that cookie you swore you wouldn’t eat.
Why lose out on the joy of something that has so much meaning

Make yourself that cup of joy with the sugar you love
Enjoy the fat again from the meat
    Fat builds your bones
Heals your anxiety and feeds the brain.

Don’t ever fall for the mainstream lies again
