Where can I get a nice haircut in Lakewood?
December 27, 2012 10:18 pm at 10:18 pm #916748NaysbergMemberWhat is the proper size (0, 1, 2) haircut for a Ben Torah?
Also, what is the going rate of a haircut? And what is a typical tipping amount?

December 28, 2012 4:20 pm at 4:20 pm #916750apushatayidParticipantThe barber shop would be a good place to start. Unless of course you are a Novardiker, in which case you would try the fruit store.

The same size as for every Jew who adheres to the Shulchon Orech. You may wish to bear in mind how the length of your hair impacts on Hanochas Tefillin shel Rosh..

Stop with “tent city” already.
If the people in this town & county were normal -these homeless people would have a Nice, Warm shelter to live in. It ain’t these peoples’ fault, no matter how much the selfish people try to portray that it is.
December 31, 2012 4:57 pm at 4:57 pm #916755blackhatwannabeParticipantWhat is a classic Yeshivishe haircut?
December 31, 2012 6:30 pm at 6:30 pm #916756apushatayidParticipantNo. I am not from Lakewood. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times I have been in Lakewood.

That’s why you don’t find any frum barber shops around.
January 1, 2013 1:41 pm at 1:41 pm #916758hershiMemberIs it really that difficult to get a barber’s license?

Not “That” difficult, but why pay money to the Gov. when you can make the same or more without them?
January 1, 2013 5:08 pm at 5:08 pm #916760dankMemberThat’s what disposable razors are for my friend. Shave your head and keep your peyos out of the way. You’ll feel better and your hat will sit down on your head like it’s supposed to.
