On Memorial Day, I ate out with family at a restaurant in Shoprite Plaza in Lakewood, on Route 9. When we came out, after about 2 hours, we discovered the hood of my car looking like 5 gorillas danced on it. The damage was only to the top of the hood, telling me that some punks must have jumped on the hood. The car was clearly not damaged by another car. Im wondering if they have any video surveillance.

What did the Lakewood Police say?
By now it might be to late to file a police report. also, you might not be able to get the surveillance footage.
I would probably contact the local body shop and see how much it would cost to repair, then I will see if it pays to file a claim or not.

I guess that explains the cleat marks and cigarette butts.
As an aside:
ATTENTION PEOPLE IN LAKEWOOD:
You know those funny lines that they put on all the parking lots? If I’m not mistaken, I think that possibly, you’re supposed to park your car IN BETWEEN THE LINES. In other words, there should not be any part of your car over the actual line.
