Recently I did some research into public speaking. I am wondering if there exists some kind of class for it within the Orthodox community. I have not found one.

However, I was told to go to a Toastmasters program. I looked at their site and they are all over the place. Has anyone had any experiences with a Toastmasters program? Does being Orthodox effect anything? What was it like? Do you know of anything similar?

    Thanks

There is a frum one in Boro Park for women.

If this does not suit you, you can always contact the organizer to start one in your community.

Yes, there is a lot of handshaking. I still encourage professionals to go, and to make their ice-breaker speech about why you wont shake with the opposite gender. It should win you the understanding and support you need to participate without compromising on handshaking.
