my friends phone was factory reset by mistake…lost all data, in the process of restoring it from Google it was discovered that he had not backed up his whatsapp data.
in addition to not hving a data backup he no more owns the phone number that his whatsapp account was under so he cannot receive a confirmation txt from whatsapp when trying to use that phone nmber.
Does anyone know a way that he can get back his whatsapp account on his phone with the same phone number that he was previously using without needing that confirmation txt?i dont know if he can, but either way, it isnt neccessarily backed up in his account either. so he will need to start again. in which case, might as well use a new number.
If you do not have access to the phone number, there is no way to get back the account.
