I am in graduate school. We were traveling home from school one day, my friend and I. He was driving, I was the passenger.
It was relatively early in the afternoon, well before rush hour. We were driving southbound on the highway and there was an accumulation of traffic before us.
My friend and I could not understand why there would be traffic at 4:00 in the afternoon. My friend noted, “Why would there be traffic now,” and proceeded to ram into the car in front of us.

October 16, 2011 5:09 am at 5:09 am #817640taking a breakMemberPay attention while driving and leave sight seeing for passengers? (totally don’t mean this in a bad way. Just factual way)

October 16, 2011 2:36 pm at 2:36 pm #817642brainyParticipantNo, no, no. It is a mashal and the nimshal does not relate to driving.
October 16, 2011 2:37 pm at 2:37 pm #817643brainyParticipantOr grad school, although I am in grad school.
October 17, 2011 1:54 am at 1:54 am #817644am yisrael chaiParticipant-worry more about what is IN your control, not out of it
-don’t get into heavy conversations with a grad student in your car
