When you hold someone else’s baby and the baby pulls on your hair, beard or eyeglasses for security, what do you do? If it’s your own baby, the baby can feel safe without pulling hair, but a friend’s baby might really think you might drop him if he doesn’t hold on to your hair.

I let them pull my hair.

It depends how hard they are pulling and if it actually hurts.

Lilmod, at what point do you stop the baby from pulling your beard?

Only a non-parent would ask such a question (or at least someone who hasn’t held a baby for many years).

Babies are holding on to you for fear of falling. They are investigating the newest thing to come their way.

You can tell when a baby is holding on for fear of falling. His or her hands reach for a large chunk of hair or beard, and then they just keep holding on. When babies explore, they keep pulling at different strands of hair and glasses, and they lick it.

If a baby pulls on my beard, I let him. And if he pulls so hard that it’s too much, then I give him back to his parent.

I have had my doubts about RY23 for a while. The opening post has eliminated the doubts, and not in a good way.
