Since in many yeshivos TB is during bh”z the minhag has developed for the Churban Europa to be talked about on Asar B’Teves.
This being said, does anyone have any interesting/ inspiring/ miraculous/ not well known stories from the war?

My father’s z’l first wife and his 2 children were sent in Auschwitz to the left but my mother a’h being a sister of his wife, 32 years old single and strong was sent to the right to be put to work. She twice followed them to the left and a German soldier pushed her back to the right.

“My father’s z’l first wife and his 2 children were sent in Auschwitz to the left but my mother a’h being a sister of his wife,“

Your father married your mother’s sister before her and had kids from your aunt?

Even though I thank Hashem that I was born afterwards, I experienced some of it. I heard stories constantly of my parents experiences seeing my father z’l crying when he talked about his wife and two daughters killed in Aucshwitz. I visited my father’s labor camp at Mauthausen, Austria when being around 10 years old, and seeing the lookout towers, prisons and crematorium ovens. I heard my mother a’h tell stories of her working for I.G. Farben filling grenades.

When I was born in the beginning of 5748 (1948), my father z’l was taken into custody. He reported someone making anti-Semitic speeches. Originally he was called in as witness and found an excuse for not appearing. However then he had no excuse and two policemen came to get him.

For Hungarians, there is a book called The Politics of GENOCIDE, The Holocaust in Hungary by Randolph L. Braham, 1998, which describes the deportation.
