A winter storm moved through NYC dumping some 8 inches of snow to most of the city. The city pledged to have the streets cleared quickly, and according to most reports, they Sanitation Department did a good job.

Are the streets in your neighborhood clear or not?

How well do you think the city did this time around?

If you live outside of NYC, tell us how your city or township did with the plows.

    I live outside NYC.

The plows did a decent job. However, there were a few streets where they plowed a turn, so you can only go in one direction. Its rather annoying.

The plows did an amazing job in Flatbush! from lower numbers to teens, to 20’s to 30’s, and all major avenues! well done!

The Sanitation workers of NYC did an ecellent job and they were out all night and at times I saw 5 plows working together and making sure that the snow was pushed to the side and the streets were cleaned. Keep in mind that the last snow storm was on a day when it was not important enough to clean streets that had a school on it, since it was a Holiday week and no Public schools were open. I do believe that is a tremendous factor in the equation. Again we must say THANK YOU to the NYC SANITATION for doing such a great job this time around.

In Rockland County they did a great job, they plowd the whole night and by 7:00AM every dead end street was clean.

for some reason we were that infamous forgotten block. When i left to work I couldn’t imagine how the schools were open because my block was so bad (they had plowed once but no blacktop was showing) but them i saw that everywhere else was pretty clear and it was just my block. Tonight they plowed and salted so maybe it will be better tomorrow.

Our sanitation workers are amazing. I live out of town and when we have snow, it’s usually cleared quickly. I remember when I was in school we hardly ever had snow days even when it snowed a lot. If Bais Yaakov closed then you knew that there was a major blizzard.

I live on a side street and when I woke up this morning it had been plowed.
