October 27, 2011 3:46 pm at 3:46 pm #821532The FrumguyParticipantHashem never sends us “dreary days” – all days are for the best!
October 27, 2011 4:16 pm at 4:16 pm #821533ZeesKiteParticipantThe Frumguy: Exactly what I wrote – they bring out the ‘best’ in me!
October 27, 2011 4:22 pm at 4:22 pm #821534Sam2ParticipantI honestly like cloudy and windy weather, maybe with a light drizzle. Not too much rain though.
October 27, 2011 4:27 pm at 4:27 pm #821535HealthParticipantI don’t -it makes me sleepy. On a day off -like Shabbos or Yom tov or when sick in bed ch’vs, it’s great because it helps you sleep.

October 28, 2011 1:07 am at 1:07 am #821537cinderellaParticipantWake up people! Rainy days are the best!!! I waited the whole hot, humid, sunny summer for this kind of cold, rainy, snowy weather!!!
YAY!!!
Plus in the winter you get to wear cute jackets and hats!!! ooooh and scarves!!!
YAY!!!
October 28, 2011 1:19 am at 1:19 am #821538minyan galMemberZees et al, you should all make aliyah to the Pacific Northwest. I think you would quickly tire of dreary days. I grew up in Vancouver and didn’t anything different than a lot of dreary and rainy days (but at least you don’t have to shovel rain). As much as I love Vancouver, I don’t know if I could live there now. I know that I couldn’t afford to live there now, but finances aside, I think that all the rain would depress me. Where I live it is usually sunny, even when it is bitterly cold. You need sunglasses for driving year round, particularly in the winter when the glare from the sun on the snow can be blinding.

October 28, 2011 3:32 am at 3:32 am #821541always runs with scissors fastParticipantkeeskite, want to hear something? YEars ago when life wasn’t so good for me, and I was more or less down in the dumps, I use to crave rainy days. I actually use to dislike it when the dreary day would turn clear and sunny because as I use to put it “…awww now I gotta cheer up”.
I also felt that dreary days brought out the best in me. Creatively or whatever. BUt now not anymore.
