If there’s one thing I learned from the CR,it’s that there is almost nothing that someone thinks or does, that half of humanity doesn’t do ALSO!!

Like, hoping against hope, that even though it’s impossible for anyone to post on Shabbos-somehow,there is going to be a SLEW of fascinating posts to read!

    3 1/2 hours,

keep in mind that posters in Isreal or the UK can post many hours before we in the USA can do so.

I admit it: I’m online after Shabbos is over; my husband comes home from shul when he does, & then makes havdalah.

After 10:00 P.M., too busy w/ taking care of other stuff first.

Also, sorry to get off the tangent everyone, but can anyone tell me if they might know – if I needed help from Verizon to come to my apt. to help me out w/ checking my phone connections inside my apt. cause I’m having a problem w/ my fax machine (I have an all in one printer) I cannot send or receive any faxes & there seems to be a problem w/ the communication &/or maybe the wiring-would they come to me even if I’m not a customer of theirs? If they wouldn’t, then whom can I call to help me out w/ resolving my issue?

It’s now 11:46PM and Shabbos was over at about 6:10, so that makes a total of 20,160 seconds (give or take a bit).

hummingbird – Firstly, test the fax machine out on a different phone line, if you dont have try by a neighbor or someone just to make sure its not the fax machine. If the fax works then there is probaly a problem with the phone lines, why wouldnt you call your company that you get servicee from?

I have my phone/internet line w/ Matzavnet. The technicians were not able for some odd reason to help me out. They told me to call the company from my printer/fax machine. Well, I’ve been on the phone w/ them this past wk. for quite some time. Part of my problem is, is that when I call them, I need to call from my cell phone cause both my reg phone & my fax line go on the same line. If they need me to do certain functions on the machine & then do a test fax, so I cannot call them on my reg. phone. So I call them from my cell phone & no matter whether it was just charged or if it’s still in the charger, but, I still many times lose my calls. So I need to keep calling them back & then I wind up speaking each time to a different tech. representative & even though they have the notes from the previous rep., I still need to go over w/ them my problem w/ my fax machine. So the first couple of reps. were telling me that I needed a new one. Then the other ones were telling me that the phone jack that goes from the back of the fax mach. has to lead to a wall jack. However, although mine was in a phone jack, but it wasn’t in a wall jack. So the guy told me to get a longer phone jack. Well I finally got a much longer one & since I already have a diff. wire connected to the jack in the wall, so I put that double jack piece into the wall jack & put both of the jacks into it, but I still have a problem w/ it. In order for me to speak w/ the co., I need to wait now until Monday to speak w/ them-they’re not open on Sunday.

realbrisker i heard a really funny brisk joke

there is a brisker that is confronted by a man that is going to kill him. the brisker realizes this so he makes the bracha on dying al kidish hashem. the killer looks at the brisker and gets scared so he starts running away. the brisker realiozes his bracha might turn into a bracha livatala so he starts saying NNUUUUUUUUU NNUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

DZ Thats exactly the point. The UK is 5 hours ahead of NY. When shabbos begins here in England there’s still 5 hours of posting to come before its shabbos in NY. So after shabbos here I log in to catch up on those posts. And whatever we post here until shabbos goes out for you is the slew that eclipse sees when she logs in after her havdalla. And Israel is 2 hours later than the UK so thats 7 hours later than NY
