Cover it with burp cloth.
Push in the edges until it is one big ball.
Throw it down the steps of your apartment building.
When your husband comes home, send him downstairs to retrieve the burp cloth.
Wash the burp cloth.

March 22, 2015 1:09 am at 1:09 am #1066093NeutiquamErroParticipantA can of deodorant. A lighter. Worked for me. Admittedly, it did take about ten minutes, and afterwards the room stank of Lynx. And there was a high risk factor. But, on the plus side, a singed moth.

March 22, 2015 1:29 am at 1:29 am #1066095screwdriverdelightParticipantI once successfully killed a moth by turning off the light. It had been buzzing around the bulb, and now, since it couldn’t see, it flew touched the bulb and got burnt. I’ve done repeat experiments, though, and didn’t have repeat results.

Jewish thinker, it was definitely causing me tzaar.
Rebbyid, my husband said there was no moth inside when he picked up the burp cloth, so it probably wasn’t too badly hurt. Which makes sense because I didn’t crush it, I only wrapped it into a ball.

as ive stated before the halacha is there’s no tzaar baalei chaim by bugs
the scientific reason being is that they cannot experience pain (no exoskeleton)
