April 8, 2011 9:15 pm at 9:15 pm #757719smile66MemberMake it diet 🙂
Use crystal light
Eat salty things (if remembering to drink is your problem)
Carry water around with you and then maybe just because it’s around, you’ll see it and drink
April 8, 2011 9:25 pm at 9:25 pm #757720Nisht Ahe Nisht AherMemberFiji Water is a waste of money!!

April 8, 2011 9:36 pm at 9:36 pm #7577212qwertyParticipantAdd some juice to it because sometimes a little flavor is all you need.
April 8, 2011 9:45 pm at 9:45 pm #757722Bar ShattyaMemberuse a straw to suck it up your nose. (not to be done with soda. the bubbles are irritating)

April 8, 2011 9:52 pm at 9:52 pm #757724OfcourseMemberYou can flavor water with any of hundreds of herbal teabags. The sky is the limit.
April 8, 2011 10:00 pm at 10:00 pm #757725Nisht Ahe Nisht AherMemberalthough fuji water is very smooth and so different than the average water it’s still over $4 for a 16 oz. bottle!
Crystal Light is the way to go!
April 8, 2011 10:28 pm at 10:28 pm #757726gefenParticipantI almost never drink water. For some reason, I just don’t like it. I buy vitamin water which is ok. There are different flavors. Just make sure the one you pick has a hechsher – not all do.
Recently at a wedding, they served lemon water. I actually drank it. So I decided I’m going to buy lemons, slice them up and put them in the freezer, packed separately so they don’t stick together (my friend gave me the idea of slicing and freezing) and just pull out one when I want some water. I’ll let you know how it works. I plan on trying it on Pesach since vitamin water is not kosher l’pesach.

Another question—why is coffee, which has plenty of water, considered a diuretic and therefore a DE-hydrating drink?
April 10, 2011 3:29 am at 3:29 am #757728L613MemberPeople think that about coffee, but the latest science shows that it’s not. Weight Watchers used to count 1 cup of coffee as a 1/2 cup towards an 8 cup daily drinking requirement, but they recently took that away. Now 1 cup of coffee counts as 1 full cup of liquid.

April 10, 2011 3:40 am at 3:40 am #757730yogiboobooMemberbec coffee is not so healthy. think of it like this. when most ppl drink coffee it makes them go to the bathroom. so therefore you loose all that “hydration” you think you got. because after your drink it and use the bathroom you are hungry again and of course…THIRSTY!

Anyone who survives THROUGH coffee can attest that coffee gets water out of the system FAST. Almost all of it (and more).
April 10, 2011 10:30 am at 10:30 am #757732ImaofthreeParticipantI think coffee acts like a diuretic because of the caffiene.
April 10, 2011 10:33 am at 10:33 am #757733ZachKessinMemberIce tea is a good idea. You can also try a squeeze of lemon. I think my mom puts fresh tarragon in her water and says its really nice.

A teaspoon of arak in a half gallon or so of water; peppermint schnapps or mint extract would work as well.
April 10, 2011 11:12 pm at 11:12 pm #757735ronrsrMemberdon’t believe the hearsay that you need to drink tons of water, even if you’re not thirsty.
Unless you have a sensory disorder or are elderly, your thirst should tell you when you’re in need of more water. Listen to it.
I don’t know where the hydration bullies came from, but this myth is rampant even among health care professionals. There is very little scientific evidence that you are aided by drinking any more water than your body craves.
I know I’m going to hear otherwise from many people, but please, back your refutations with proof, such as scientific studies.
April 11, 2011 12:18 am at 12:18 am #757736yankdownunderMemberEclipse try this in the Morning put two capfuls of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of Water. Apple Cider Vinegar is Alkaline, and can help improve your Immune System. Do this before eating Breakfast. In fact wait about one half hour before eating after drinking this. This a quite healthy thing to do first thing in the Morning.
