Not Dell. My family has gone through many laptops and Dell ones were the worst.April 30, 2012 1:01 am at 1:01 am #871920yentingyentaParticipant

SONY, bit more expensive for the same hardware, but after using Dell and HP, SONY is by far more durable.April 30, 2012 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm #871922

Acer!!! I have had an HP which was pretty good, but my last 2 including the one I have now is an Acer and I love it. BH never gives me problems. It is fast, sleek, easy to use. I highly reccomended the brand.May 1, 2012 1:39 am at 1:39 am #871925derszogerMember

I dont think that you can compare the companies to each other.

dont buy acer unless you want a huge hassle with drivers out of the box it already started giving me the blue screen and i know many who have had similar issues. i have a toshiba and am very happy with it.May 2, 2012 8:22 am at 8:22 am #871931
Toshiba is great, we had two Toshibas (still have 1). Working fine after 4 years still.
HP is also good, but only if you stick to their high-end lines (EliteBook or ProBook), which is probably not what you’re looking for. My primary laptop is an HP EliteBook which is amazing.
However, 2scents is right. It’s like saying, “which car is better, Mercedes or Audi?” Or Renault or Peugeot? Nissan or Toyota? Without mentioning which one in particular and without mentioning your intended usage of it. So basically, there is no answer. The above is all only based on a few personal experiences.May 2, 2012 1:18 pm at 1:18 pm #871932i love camp govoahMember
my opinion is go for a dell they are better computers then hpMay 2, 2012 6:44 pm at 6:44 pm #871933
it all depends on the components,
I am not all to familiar, however at work we have expensive Dell computers and servers, I would not compare these to just any other computer or laptop.
rather make sure that we are talking about the same components and same level.May 2, 2012 8:00 pm at 8:00 pm #871935

I dont speak computer lingo, so excuse the ingormaus here, but could someone explain why I might go with an apple or mac or windows rather than the others?May 3, 2012 1:32 am at 1:32 am #871937pcozMember

Mac, makes its own software and hardware.
which means that it has different hardare components and runs on a different platform.
I have both, mac and a dell (windows), I prefer the Dell. getting used to the mac was a bit difficult.
