Not Dell. My family has gone through many laptops and Dell ones were the worst.

SONY, bit more expensive for the same hardware, but after using Dell and HP, SONY is by far more durable.

Acer!!! I have had an HP which was pretty good, but my last 2 including the one I have now is an Acer and I love it. BH never gives me problems. It is fast, sleek, easy to use. I highly reccomended the brand.

I dont think that you can compare the companies to each other.

rather we should compare their products.

acer is one of the largest oem manufacturers in the world. better than even chance some of their parts are in any hp or dell that you buy.

dont buy acer unless you want a huge hassle with drivers out of the box it already started giving me the blue screen and i know many who have had similar issues. i have a toshiba and am very happy with it.

Toshiba is great, we had two Toshibas (still have 1). Working fine after 4 years still.

HP is also good, but only if you stick to their high-end lines (EliteBook or ProBook), which is probably not what you’re looking for. My primary laptop is an HP EliteBook which is amazing.

However, 2scents is right. It’s like saying, “which car is better, Mercedes or Audi?” Or Renault or Peugeot? Nissan or Toyota? Without mentioning which one in particular and without mentioning your intended usage of it. So basically, there is no answer. The above is all only based on a few personal experiences.

it all depends on the components,

I am not all to familiar, however at work we have expensive Dell computers and servers, I would not compare these to just any other computer or laptop.

rather make sure that we are talking about the same components and same level.

Go with the company with the best tech support and customer service track record.

Mac, makes its own software and hardware.

which means that it has different hardare components and runs on a different platform.

I have both, mac and a dell (windows), I prefer the Dell. getting used to the mac was a bit difficult.
