FYI for anyone with Sabra hummus at home, Sabra just issued a recall of 55 of their products.
For more information, please check the FDA’s website.
“Colonial Heights, VA – Sabra Dipping Co., LLC is voluntarily recalling certain hummus products made prior to November 8, 2016 due to concerns over Listeria monocytogenes, which was identified at the manufacturing facility but not in tested finished product. The recall includes the products listed below; these were distributed to retail outlets, including food service accounts and supermarkets, in the U.S. and Canada…

November 21, 2016 8:57 pm at 8:57 pm #1193744LightbriteParticipantOmgosh!!! I just got an email saying that the hummus that I bought in October was part of the recall. I really felt sick after eating it but I thought it was because I just ate too much salt and was stressed. It could have been both.
A while ago I learned that I ate vegetables with listeria but I was okay because I cooked them long enough for anything to die.
Is Listerine kosher?
November 21, 2016 10:26 pm at 10:26 pm #1193745☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantMy father uses Listerine, so I’d assume it’s kosher. (I’ve heard
that using such mouthwashes increases risk of oral cancer.)
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. The company is issuing this recall out of an abundance of caution.
Eh. Seeing as no one in my family has a weakened immune
system, and we’ve already eaten some of our hummus with no
apparent effects, we’re not going to be throwing ours out.

The retailer ought to accept the return. If they do not because of having no receipt, then Sabra may offer direct reimbursements. And maybe not. Though you stated that you’re going to keep on eating; thus I gave you a bracha (just please say Amen).
Random: Once I got a reimbursement from a frozen food company for the hair in my frozen strawberries. Hair isn’t trief. Only trifling.
