Nothing “special” about chulent for shabbos, at least the way many prepare it using beans and cheaper cuts of fatty meat (with lots of salt). Also, the “special for shabbos” label is a joke given that just about every frum neighborhood now has some joint that hosts special Chulent Night on thursdays. I’m all for those who choose to start shabbos early but Thursday night is a non-starter even under the most expansive definition of “plag hamincha”
Chulent, like its counterparts kugel and gefilte fish, are shabbos foods with a mesorah and are indeed special. Gefilte fish is special because it avoids borer, for instance
I doubt your Thursday night or Shabbos cholunt is as good as mine and my cholunt pot cleans easily since I coat the sides and bottom with vegetable oil. Remember kishka is essential!
How do you clean and type at the same time?
Whats the problem? You pour out whatever is left, fill it up with water and dish soap, let it soak overnight and then…easy cleaning!
