Remember that life is a roller coaster ride. If you go really, really low down, take that as a sign that someday- hopefully soon, you will go soaring up to the sky. Also remember that if Hashem gives you something hard to deal with, that means that He KNOWS you can deal with it- with your head held up high, AND smile!

Most importantly, daven. Know that Hashem is waiting for you to call to Him. He cares about what you’re going through and He is hoping that you will succeed in surviving it.

People who come here to read and recharge chizuk (me the most) will usually appreciate the kind our resident Rebbitzen (Bubby) wrote. Short and very sweet, heartfelt and uplifting. It’s giving tremendous honor both to Rashi & Tosfos, and to the Nosain HaTorah Himself. It’s a living practical illustration and demonstration that every word and letter in the Torah is laden with meaning. No waste at all. That’s called true ??????. I’m not sure, but I think one who delves deeply to really understand, in earnest (not for pilpul or honors, or even mind-sharpening exercising) will not lose out in knowing “a bunch” too.

Pulsing Flower: There has been a longstanding machlokes in our mesorah over the superiority of sinai (bekius) vs. oiker harim (be’iyun). Please don’t relegate an entire tzad of the machlokes to being a mere “waste of time”– chas vesholom! Aderaba, one who does not spend time working through sugyas and pouring over the rishonim and acharonim will have missed out on a fascinating and really important chelek of Torah and avodas hashem.
If you are sefaradi, then I would definitely understand why you prefer bekius, since you are simply following in the footsteps of rav ovadia zt”l. If not, I see you no reason for you to use such harsh fighting words against beiyun, which is such an important aspect of talmud torah and yeshiva learning. I think you mean well, so would you mind being masbir your puzzling statement.
