And it really is so cool!
May 8, 2017 6:29 am at 6:29 am #1271471WinnieThePoohParticipantoh my goodness, I agree, more than cool. They are the latest rage in my sons’ school. The local stores cannot stock them fast enough. We bought one for my son (I hate to give it to fad toys, but he does have sensory issues and these sort of things have a calming effect on him) and everyone in the house is fighting over whose turn it is.
May 8, 2017 12:10 pm at 12:10 pm #1271764👑RebYidd23ParticipantThey’re cheaper online straight from China. (Be careful with them, though. They may be calming, but that doesn’t mean the fights won’t escalate.)
May 8, 2017 12:21 pm at 12:21 pm #1271773WinnieThePoohParticipantBut if I ordered them online from China, by the time they arrived, the fad would be over and the kids have moved on to something cooler.
May 8, 2017 12:33 pm at 12:33 pm #1271781👑RebYidd23ParticipantFor kids who are helped by them, it’s not a fad.
May 8, 2017 12:33 pm at 12:33 pm #1271782🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantWinnie The Pooh – we ordered a few online from china for pennies and they came, broke, and were replaced and the fad is still going!
🙂

May 8, 2017 2:09 pm at 2:09 pm #1271880bmyerParticipantI’ve seen and used them and I don’t get it…

May 8, 2017 8:44 pm at 8:44 pm #1272341tobsParticipantwhat is the point of these fidget spinners! you just spin them
May 8, 2017 8:51 pm at 8:51 pm #1272347Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantbtw, WTP, I checked and it turns out that my niece is off on Monday Lad B’omer and not on Sunday Lag B’omer. So it does seem that Lag BaOmer is actually being pushed off.
May 8, 2017 9:22 pm at 9:22 pm #1272353Geordie613ParticipantThat is the point. You spin them!
May 9, 2017 5:53 am at 5:53 am #1272515WinnieThePoohParticipantThanks. I figured it out, since my work announced Mon as an optional paid vacation day for parents with kids who are off (we are allowed 2 optional days/year, in addition to the standard days off for chagim). So what about people like me whose kids are off on Sun the real Lag B’Omer?
