PBA will need to have all of his wives pour a bucket at the same time in order to qualify.August 29, 2014 6:00 am at 6:00 am #1030424sm29Participant
I saw a really funny one where this guy was going to just pour a bucket on his head. Then his kids take a hose and squirt him all over. lolAugust 29, 2014 12:56 pm at 12:56 pm #1030425DaMosheParticipant
At first I thought the whole thing was silly. But have you seen the numbers? As of this morning, they said that they’ve gotten over $94 million in donations since July 29th! In the same period last year, they got just over $2 million! So this thing is really working.
I would just like to mention that there is an Israeli company called Brainstorm which has a potential cure for ALS. It was used on the son of R’ Chaim Shmulevitz zt”l, R’ Rafael, who had an advanced case of ALS. He got it with a compassionate use exemption, and it worked for him! He had been in a wheelchair, unable to speak, and now B”H he’s walking and talking again!
It is currently in clinical trials in the US. So if you know anyone with ALS, tell them to look into it and see if they could get into the trial, or at least try for a compassionate use exemption. It can save their lives!August 29, 2014 2:43 pm at 2:43 pm #1030426

I heard in the beginning he was miraculously much better but after a few weeks the treatment stopped working. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

They have 24 hours to donate $100.00 to the foundation. You need to have someone take a video of it by saying what you are doing, then you nominate a few other people to do it then post it in social media so your friends can see it.August 31, 2014 3:57 am at 3:57 am #1030432
No you don’t. Nobody can tell you what to do. You can pour an ice bucket over the head of the person who invented the whole stupid thing.August 31, 2014 6:00 pm at 6:00 pm #1030433notasheepMember

SO DO most people nominated do it, or donate the money? If they do it so the fund doesnt get the donation????September 1, 2014 10:19 am at 10:19 am #1030436

SiDi: You may have missed this one:
Yeah, in fact, there’s no reason to do it in sadness, melancholy, depressed state. A mitzvah (teshuva too) should be done with happiness and enthusiasm. So let’s grab to moment and use it..
