…Of your choice, which car would it be?
July 7, 2013 1:52 am at 1:52 am #1105509TheGoqParticipantBatmobile hands down.
July 7, 2013 1:56 am at 1:56 am #1105510zahavasdadParticipantlamborghini
July 7, 2013 2:17 am at 2:17 am #1105511writersoulParticipantWell, I can’t drive yet…
But honestly? I’m in the city a lot, and even if I just park at home, it’s so, so easy in a SmartCar. Those are SO insanely cool. Double-parking is just not a thing when you have one of those.
My mom just gets nervous because there’s no trunk or hood in case of a crash, and there’s no room for groceries, other people, etc., which of course is what’s preventing me from getting one.
LOL! Hahahaha! Wow, I just crack myself up.
July 7, 2013 2:20 am at 2:20 am #1105512Biology (joseph)ParticipantMercedes-Benz.
July 7, 2013 2:52 am at 2:52 am #1105513rebdonielMemberNo Nazi cars for me (sorry, Biology). I’d want a Jaguar.
July 7, 2013 3:28 am at 3:28 am #1105514Biology (joseph)ParticipantBut you have no objections to a car from a Jew-hater like Ford? If you tell me he is long gone, so are the Nazis (who didn’t even own Mercedes, unlike Ford.) And Ford’s grandchildren still own a majority controlling stake in Ford Corporation voting shares. And today is Chairman of Ford.
July 7, 2013 3:57 am at 3:57 am #1105515rebdonielMemberThey’re not owned by Ford anymore.
It’s interesting to see how many organizations are actually financed by Ford’s foundation.
July 7, 2013 4:36 am at 4:36 am #1105516sharpMemberJaguar.
In a New York minute.
July 7, 2013 5:05 am at 5:05 am #1105517This name is already takenParticipantAudi Rs 6
July 7, 2013 2:13 pm at 2:13 pm #1105518pixelateMemberBiology- Ford was anti-Semitic, but some German car companies actually labored Jews under the Nazis.
Most people cannot bring themselves to drive a car boasting the logo of a company who tortured their brothers.
That is why in “compensation”, Israel is given German cars at a discount. Ford is a different story.- He was just an anti-Semite
(I’m sure like many others at that time).
(Because FDR was an anti-Semite, I can’t use dimes?)
Ironically, one of the higher-ups in Ford is a Jew, and may some day become the next CEO of Ford motors (Henry’s turning in his grave)

July 7, 2013 7:28 pm at 7:28 pm #1105521CuriosityParticipantI’d take the most expensive car available, then sell it, so I can afford to pay for more important things.
July 7, 2013 8:15 pm at 8:15 pm #1105522popa_bar_abbaParticipantIf someone gave me a car, I’d ask for a glass of milk.
July 7, 2013 8:16 pm at 8:16 pm #1105523just my hapenceParticipantToi – The DB9 is an Aston Martin, not a Bentley. Still, awesome car.

You know, this would be a great “serial story” type thread. To make a funny, interesting one.
When I’m less tired.
July 8, 2013 4:07 pm at 4:07 pm #1105529ToiParticipantjmh-it was a joke. i know the DB9 is an alfa romeo.
July 8, 2013 4:37 pm at 4:37 pm #1105530MiddlePathParticipantA Zonda Revolucion or McLaren P1. And an R8 over an RS6 (sorry, crazybrit).
July 8, 2013 4:48 pm at 4:48 pm #1105531TheGoqParticipantWelcome back Middlepath!!!!! the cr alumni keep coming back!
July 8, 2013 6:12 pm at 6:12 pm #1105532jewishfeminist02MemberMy husband and I have very different taste in cars. Although there are a few we agree on, we’ve decided that when the time comes that we really need a car on a regular basis, we’ll lease and trade off choosing the model every three years.
I really like “boxy” shaped cars: Scion XB, Nissan Cube, and Honda Element. I also like pickup trucks (haven’t done enough research on those yet, but so far I like Chevy Silverado) and some Volvos (again, haven’t done enough research) and the Chevy Volt.
My husband doesn’t like the look of the boxy cars. He also prefers sedans, while I prefer crossovers or SUVs (I’ll probably win on this point once we start having children, iy”H). He likes small, fuel-efficient cars: Toyota Prius, smart car, and MINI Cooper.
At the July 4 event we went to last week, a local dealership showed up with three display cars (Infiniti) and raffled off a weekend rental. We didn’t win, but we did have a long conversation with a salesman and he showed us the car’s features. Infiniti is beyond our price range right now (and we’re also not in the market for another 9-12 months), but we both liked it and plan to test drive it at some point.
July 8, 2013 6:31 pm at 6:31 pm #1105533Oh Shreck!ParticipantI’d prefer any model that has at least most of it’s features still operational, and fairly good exterior. Not excellent condition, because I’d like to hold on to it.
I once saw a perfect looking car with taped on lights etc. The owner told me he did that so it shouldn’t look so attractive.
July 8, 2013 6:37 pm at 6:37 pm #1105534WIYMemberWhy is someone willing to buy us all free cars? Did Bill Gates finally realize how important we coffee room posters are?
July 8, 2013 7:40 pm at 7:40 pm #1105535ToiParticipantok but honestly, my favorite car doesnt win points for bhp, torque, mpg, 0-60 ot any of that stuff. I would pick a Porsche carerra GT.
sweetest car ever built.

July 9, 2013 12:00 pm at 12:00 pm #1105537ED IT ORParticipantMiddlePath; we are really going to have to renew the manicure thread!
anyways im thinking of booking a round of the nurburgring this summer
am i gonna meet you there?
July 30, 2013 4:05 pm at 4:05 pm #1105538MiddlePathParticipantThanks Goq, hope you’re doing well.
crazybrit, that’s awesome! What car will you use? You won’t meet me there this summer, although I do plan on tackling that track sometime. Also want to try Imola. I actually recently got back from doing a nice road trip up the pacific coast in a Mustang GT rental. Totally worth it.
July 30, 2013 8:31 pm at 8:31 pm #1105539Veltz MeshugenerMemberI am very opposed to buying German cars. I don’t think that we should contribute profits to the country that murdered so many of our people. A few years ago, I bought a Volkswagen and just smashed it to pieces with a crowbar.
July 31, 2013 7:25 am at 7:25 am #1105540jewishfeminist02MemberVeltz Meshugener, are you being serious? If so, I really have no words…
July 31, 2013 1:49 pm at 1:49 pm #1105541rebdonielMemberI’d never drive a Ford or a German car. It’s too soon to forgive them for what they did to us. BMW, Mercedes, and VW were all companies complicit in the Final Solution.
July 31, 2013 2:13 pm at 2:13 pm #1105542takahmamashParticipantThe helige Admor of Shaputz, Moreinu v’Rabeinu Harav Hagaon Shloimele Rosenbaum, shlita, has stated publicly that it’s assur to have a radio in the car. As long as someone can give me a car without a radio (or at least smash the radio with a hammer so it doesn’t work), I would take it.
August 17, 2015 1:40 am at 1:40 am #1105543👑RebYidd23ParticipantWhy can’t you smash the radio yourself?
August 17, 2015 6:41 pm at 6:41 pm #1105544an even yummier cupcakeParticipanti would take a bright red or orange corvette convertible 🙂 actually seriously, my husband took me to a car show when we got married and i loved all those cars it was soooo cool!!!!!!
August 17, 2015 7:55 pm at 7:55 pm #1105545👑RebYidd23ParticipantI’d get a custom car.
August 17, 2015 11:53 pm at 11:53 pm #1105546shuliParticipantI’d get a simple Honda Civic. There’s nothing extraordinary about them and they don’t stand out amongst the millions of others on the road. This would be especially helpful when I kidnap a child and the police are looking for one of the most popular models on the market.
August 18, 2015 2:54 pm at 2:54 pm #1105547skripkaParticipantA cozy coupe, the classic red and yellow one
