I know, that’s what happens to all my posts. I wrack my brains (I get up oily, to oil all those gears and start the thinkonator) to think of some corny good one. It always manages to stay put. Hurray for you, someone responded to your’s. (maybe)

I think we sometimes have bits of ga’avahdig feelings and unhealthy thoughts. Beware – it is the yeitzer hara no doubt!!!
Yes, it’s always nice and a good feeling if someone responds to your post, but if there ISN’T a response to your post, we usually tend to think negative thoughts, and perceive this as a blow to our ego. The Y”H gets us all worked up, and we take it very PERSONALLY – thoughts such as “hey, nobody likes me, or my posts?!” or “am I so unintelligent that I got not one response to my last post??” or “I guess I’m not as hilarious/intelligent/popular as I think I am”
But in reality, it could very well be either:
1)Nobody saw the post. (I don’t open half the threads in the CR.)
2)people saw it, enjoyed it and left it at that. We don’t ALWAYS comment.
3)We got too busy we didn’t have time to post.
Etc. Etc. Etc.

You are in some threads that I do open. Regarding the threads that I do NOT open, however, I wouldn’t know, would I? 🙂
I gauge how popular I think a poster is before I respond to their comment on a scale of 1 to 10, and base the length of my response on that scale. All the posts I have not responded to are because the poster ranked a zero or lower. BaalHabooze managed to rank at a 2, and that’s why this post is as long as (65 words plus one parenthetical max for rank 2).
That was such a dumb comment.

FITT- are u sure I rank a 2 in the popularity catagory and not the intelligent catagory??
I think ZeesKite ranks at least a 9 in popularity. In sanity however….

Sorry BaalHabooze, I don’t rank anywhere in popularity. Noisy – yes, not popular. And about the sanity, I iterate and reiterate that I have nothing to do with it.
I have a theory that the CR is WAY too uptight and self-conscious. I think if we have threads that we only respond with the first dumb thing that comes to our head, the CR would be in much better shape.
