Twittling your thumbs
Reminds me of the two Irish musicians who went for an audition. When asked for their musical abilities, the first said “I can play the piano by ear” and the second said “and I can fiddle with my mustache”

November 2, 2011 3:38 am at 3:38 am #823212brotherofursParticipanti thought this was a thread about how much we should really appreciate our thumbs any time and especially at a simcha so we can dance and like hold a fork 😉
November 2, 2011 4:43 am at 4:43 am #823213RABBAIMParticipantTake a sefer with you. Much better in the long run!

November 2, 2011 4:50 pm at 4:50 pm #823215apushatayidParticipantif we didnt have thumbs we would have to eat like animals, eating out of a trough at a shmorg bumping heads with other people wouldnt be much fun. opposable thumbs are a tremendous bracha.
November 2, 2011 6:05 pm at 6:05 pm #823216ImaofthreeParticipantNot so nice to be on the cell phone during speeches and chuppa etc. but it’s better than talking and disturbing.
November 2, 2011 6:28 pm at 6:28 pm #823217adorableParticipantits the most disgusting thing to be at a speech or be sitting with someone when they are texting the whole time. so annoying!
November 2, 2011 10:57 pm at 10:57 pm #823218apushatayidParticipantThere is a video going around the web of a (non jewish) bride, texting at her wedding ceremony. The galach is standing their saying his thing, she pulls out her phone sends a couple of texts and puts away the phone. The look on her fathers face (he is standing right next to her) is priceless.
