How best to beat inertia?
Think of a physics model that explains the world without it existing?
(This is not impossible. They discover things in physics all the time which contradict earlier thinking. You just need to think hard enough.)
Apply force, reduce opposing force. Or apply continuous force.
Think about it. Inertia and momentum are actually one concept. An object retains its velocity until changed from the outside. So, once you are moving it is much easier to keep going.
Don’t think about the work that has to be done. Focus on what lays in front of you.
