Years ago I bought a Hebrew sefer entitled: “Goralos Urim V’Tumim HaChadash V’Hashalim Im Pisron Hashailos”

Inside the first line reads (translated from the Hebrew): “and this is the sefer of lots that was used by Israel during the second temple.” The goes on to say something about the 70 elders under Ptolemy, King of Egypt. It says it is Sod Kadosh V’Norah. I picked it up in Israel and it is part of my “Kohain library.”

It is basically mostly letters under the banner of each stone in the breastplate of the Kohain Gadol.

Anyone ever heard of it or know the full history? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Careful with Goralos. It might be Assur, just like tea leaves.

There seems to be a fine line between what is allowed and what is not. Reb Chaim Vital made a Sefer of Goralos.

Either way, these fanciful, this-is-the-ancient-book doesn’t really fly and I wonder if it was even meant to be taken seriously or if it was a cute way of introducing your Sefer, like the Kuzri, KaLaCh Pischei Chachma, and Sefer Hayashar, among others.
