Aside from suffies and latkes, what’s wrong with frying things in one?
Why woud it be assur? The mitzva of eating healthy should override any issur.
Is it Assur? Well since it is not in your Bubbies recipe……..for you maybe. As to others there is no issur melacha on Chanukah. Is it assur to warm up latkes in a regular oven on Chanuka?
they are completely assur, they are far to healthy to be used by a jew!

I suggest that what Rabbi Debbie really meant to ask was: Does eating air – fried food exempt me from my obligation to eat something fried in oil?
The answer,of course, is no. Eating oil-fried foods on Chanuka is an important minhag, and should not be neglected.
That said, once you have eaten the required amount of oil-fried foods, you are of course welcome to fry the rest of your food in air.Goldilocks. it does not say drench it oil which is unhealthy, when the minhag was established, there was no air fryer which happens to use some oil.
After testing the radiation emitted from an air fryer I stopped using it it was way more than that of a microwave
Trachtgeet: Whats wrong with ‘glow in the dark” latkes. They are very popular among certain segments of the tzibur.
THERE IS NO CHIYUV TO EAT FRIED FOODS. THEREOFORE THERE IS NO MINIMUM AMOUNT ONE MUST EAT!!!!!!
